Harvard Club Brownbagger- How Biki Did it

Join us on Tuesday, July 16th and learn how Bikeshare Hawaii, better known as Biki, quickly became one of the most successful Bikeshare systems in the U.S.

Our speaker will be Lori McCarney. Lori served as CEO during the start up, launch, and community acceptance phases of Honolulu’s bikeshare program named Biki.

McCarney used a variety of skills acquired over her career, including branding, pricing, product design, technology, consumer marketing, and location planning to craft the Biki program.  She added her passion to get more people on bikes and her desire to give back to the community to move the initiative forward – raising funds, helping the community accept a new transportation mode, and collaborating with local government.  In its first full year of operations, Biki became the 6th most popular system (of more than 100) in the nation.
